About Loch Ken

Welcome to Loch Ken Holiday Park

A peaceful haven in an area of outstanding beauty with a wealth of wildlife. Wild duck, swans and red kite are regular inhabitants. Adjacent to the park are the RSPB bird reservation, the "Galloway Kite Trail" and the Galloway Forest Park which offers our visitors many opportunities to walk, climb, cycle and bird watch.

The camp site occupies ten acres on the boundary of the Bryson family, six hundred acre stock farm. The fishing is excellent, many fishermen return each year to catch the famous Loch Ken pike, roach and perch

Parton is in the centre of Galloway with the delightful market "food town" of Castle Douglas, seven miles away, and the "art town" of Kirkcudbright fifteen miles away.

Among pursuits enjoyed on the Park and Loch Ken are fishing, sailing, water skiing and walking. There are a number of bird sanctuaries, 'open' farms, countryside parks and forest walks, 7Stanes mountain biking, golf courses (nine and eighteen holes), plus many museums, craft workshops, galleries and other attractions to enjoy.

Stayed here for a week two adults & two kids, absolutely loved it. Beautiful location right on the shores of Loch Ken with fantastic views. The tent pitches were massive & the site was kept very clean and tidy

First stop on our motor home trip around Scotland and it set the standard for the rest of our camp site visits. A beautifully laid out site, quality amenities and great hosts, with a Loch-side position, it can't get much better!
